Donald G. Brown – President

Donald G. Brown – Member of AFSCME Local 2459 since 1981 and employed as a Revenue Field Auditor II for the Department of Revenue – Bureau of Audits/Pittsburgh Region. I have served the members of this local as a Steward in the Department of Revenue, an Executive Board member, Vice-President and
have been President since 1991. As President of AFSCME Local 2459, I have served as a member of the Master Agreement negotiating committee for four contracts, participated in many labor-management meetings, and represented members in Pre-disciplinary
Conferences. I am an active member in the AFSCME People committee and serve as Vice-President for District
Council 84.

Monte R. Turner - Executive Board

Active member of AFSCME since 1987. Proud member of Local 2459 since 1990 after my transfer from Norristown PA to Pittsburgh PA. Prior to that I was a member of the local in Norristown PA when I started with the Commonwealth in November of 1987. I am an AFSCME steward, an executive board member, and a member of P.A.L. Father of one son, and two daughters, and grandfather of one granddaughter and three grandsons. I have an Associate Degree in Accounting from Cambria Rowe Business College in Johnstown PA, and a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from St. Francis College in Loretto, PA. Proud father of a daughter in active duty status as a nurse in the Air Force. I am currently employed as an Unemployment Compensation Tax Agent with the Department of Labor, and Industry.

Verna K. Kratzenberg - Executive Board

I am a nurse with the PA Dept of Health, Division of Acute and Ambulatory Care. Since hired in 1993, I have been a full share member and participate in the PAL program. I have been a Steward for the past ten years, having won many grievances including a significant Class Action award. I am honored to be a member of the Executive Board for the third term.

Outside of AFSCME, I am and an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Murrysville, a State Officer for the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants.

Don Justison - I am employed as a Health Facility Quality Examiner with the Department of Health. I have worked for the Commonwealth for 32 years. Prior to joining this local, I was a past AFSCME vice president, chief steward and executive board member for many years at Woodville State Hospital. Currently and for the last 8 years I have been a proud member of Local 2459, an active steward for three years and participate in the PAL program.  Thank you for allowing me to be a member of your executive board.  I am sincere and will work hard for you.
